Please help us to save the last wild space in the west-end of Glasgow. Children can climb trees, build dens and be creative here. It is a space where everyone in the community meets e.g. dog walkers, bike riders, gardeners, families, schools and many more groups. The administration of Glasgow City Council plan to sell the land for the development. Please help us to stop this from happening by signing our online petition.
I have supported this campaign from the beginning. The Children’s Wood is important as part of a movement across the world which recognises the importance of our children’s contact with nature, and of their sharing activities in the great outdoors with parents, relatives, friends and neighbours. The fact that Glasgow city council seem unable to see this issue as of not just local but also world wide importance is indicative of their failure of imagination to say the least!
