About Beedookit

Beedookit is an arts and environment project created by Kathleen Friend. The initiative is inspired by vernacular doocot architecture and working with it creators to invent something new for urban beekeepers. Kathy, in collaboration with local volunteers, has brought her project to The Children’s Wood and North Kelvin Meadow. The project is the first of its kind to use the dookit concept to house honey bees on community land.
