I have been several times with my young grandson to the Children’s Wood, a place he dearly loves, a place where children can run and play free, free to explore and experiment in a wonderful open, informal, near-wild out-of-doors environment, quite unique for the children of Glasgow. It is a unique place for them to be a part of nature, to learn to observe, respond to, and take care of nature. I will be returning this fall to be with him at the time of his sibling’s birth –we have great plans for our visits to the Children’s Wood!
