About our Community Garden

The Children’s Wood community garden is for people who want to get involved with anything to do with gardening and maintenance on the Children’s Wood and North Kelvin Meadow.

You can get involved with the Community Garden, Orchard and land maintenance. There are always a variety of jobs to be done, no experience is required, so come along on your own or with your family or friends and enjoy being a part of The Children’s Wood Community. All ages and abilities welcome! As always, tea and biscuits and good chat will be available!

If you would like to receive more detailed information about the Community Garden project and access a ‘Monthly Jobs List’ then please contact us or just turn up at one of our regular events.

Purpose of our Community Garden

The purpose of this group is to support people to get involved and take part in the growing of flowers, plants, trees, fruits and vegetables on the land, support and develop the biodiversity of the land  and to be involved in the ongoing maintenance of  The Children’s Wood and North Kelvin Meadow. We hope that people can learn new skills or use existing skills to shape the future of The Children’s Wood and North Kelvin Meadow
